Whats’ Coming! The Syncrude Arts Alive Series at The Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre


Whether you enjoy comedy, dancing, drumming, fiddling, hypnotism, musicals or theatre; classical, country, children’s or folk music, a season of music, laughter, excitement and fun is on its way to Fort McMurray in the form of the Syncrude Arts Alive Series. “The diversity of and caliber of performers we have attracted has been amazing,” says Alan Roberts, Director, of the Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre. “All of these performances are made possible through the generous support of Syncrude and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the Government of Canada.”

Oh, Canada, We Sing For Thee!

Sept. 16, 2017. All Ages
Celebrate Canada’s 150th Anniversary with Canadian Songbird Leisa Way. Sing along to Gordon Lightfoot, Anne Murray, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, and many more.

Menopause The Musical

Oct. 11, 2017. Mature
Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, audiences will get out of their seats to sing along with brilliant parodies of classic hit songs.

Fubuki Daiko

Oct. 19, 2017. All Ages
For over 20 years, Fubuki Daiko, a Japanese Taiko drumming group, has thrilled audiences with their musicianship, humour, and sheer physical stamina. Precision choreography and spontaneous full body movement create a spectacle that is part martial arts athleticism, part dance, and all rhythm.

Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys

An ace fiddle player nicknamed “crazy legs”, Gordie MacKeeman just loves to perform. Combine that with the stellar musicianship of His Rhythm Boys, and you have an unstoppable roots music force.
